Fix Rich Text Editor Problem in WordPress
Written by Pavan Kumar on April 25, 2008
After I upgraded my wordpress to version 2.5, I fell off with one more problem. The rich text editor did not appear and I did not want to write each post as html code.It would be a tough matter to write all the posts as html and publish. Googled for about an hour and I got to know many are facing similar problems. So I am sharing the solution to help all others with same problem.
The solution I found was that of using a wordpress plugin of FCKEditor which replaces the default editor by its own editor which is more powerful than the default one.
Download, install and activate the latest FCKEditor plugin for wordpress. This will install the powerful rich text editor on your wordpress and you can access the same on your write section.
The highlighting feature of this plugin include the inbuilt file manager which enables you to upload the files directly through the editor. It also supports the wordpress read more feature. The editor looks like the micorsoft word toolbar. It also has anchor feature which might be useful while writing lengthy posts or preparing some indexes in a sorted order. It also supports table or flash insert option. The snap below shows the image uploading feature of the editor.
I feel it a must have for all wp users. For more details, don’t contact anyone, just install and experience…
